I recall some idiot said we were in a drought.

Perhaps we can get him to predict floods and pestilence, to ensure a sunny rest of the year.

It is officially the wettest drought since records began

Not a problem we have in Scotland, but the plans to market water south of the border have taken a slight setback!

Flying back from the USA I always thought how useful it was for the Jet Stream to help the aircraft fly a little quicker, but stuff that I would rather have a summer..........

Rain can add a nice touch of drama to some photos, it's good to experiment with different shutterspeeds for different effects.
Seeing people scuttling about with colorful umbrellas, sometimes makes a nice snap or stock weather pic.
Rain drops on windows or beating down on plants and flowers, water splash shots. Great for candid people snappng.

The trouble is when you've penciled in an hour or two to get some rain shots, the rain stops.

Looking out of the window it is still raining, although the weekend is supposed to be fine, especially sunday, the good news is the jet stream is moving back to it's normal position much further north over the next few days.
