    AI Servo dumb ass question

If I'm using BBF and taking photos of moving objects do I hold the BBF down when using AI Servo and release or keep it pressed all the time ?

Someone has just volunteered me to photograph some horses for a calendar and I just can't remember ... help

I presume also using 61 points rather than spot or 9 ??

    ta ...

Oh did I say I'm doing it in 3 hours lol

As you know I am no expert, but I would say YES to keeping your thumb on the BBF button.

      Just seen your post.

I used 61 point with BBF and 9 point with shutter release.

I press the BBF and hold then press release to take images. Tend to use 61 point where the background iisn't cluttered, BIF against sky for example and 9 point where subject is small or background messy.

My understanding is that yes you would hold the button down when using BBF and AI Servo.

I would tend to use single point, or maybe 9 point and keep the focus on the eye. Regarding the BBF, I generally find it loses the focus point after a few shots, so then you need to press it again.

When I spent the day at Thruxton, for all the panned shots I held BBF down all the way through and pushed the shutter button too. Most of those was using single focus point or the small cross hairs in the centre
