Re: Got the dreaded lurgy
Cause I have Asthma I was advised to get the flu jab last year but it turned out that this years flu jab didn't really have an effect because it was th ewrong strain that was identified as being the problem. 95% of folk that got jabbed it had no effect. Not good news. I did end up with the flu and ended up floored too. Mental. Usually a sign of burning the candle at both ends Jeff :)Fuji X-T1 | 1D IV

Re: Got the dreaded lurgy
I was in the same boat as you Jeff and Paulstw. I have taken the flu jab for many years and it always worked fine. However, this year I too was down with the flu virus- twice, despite having had the flu jab. (this would account for my inaction photographically for the last 2 months). It would appear that this year the flu vaccine has been ineffective as the powers be could not really get the correct flu vaccine diagnosed in time. These vaccines are prepared well in advance and they had misdiagnosed the type of virus that would "attack" this country. I put this down to a one off error and will take the flu jab again this year.Last edited by Nathaniel; 13-03-2015, 10:34.Canon 6D; Canon 760D;Canon G15;Canon 40mm f2.8(Pancake);Canon 50mm f1.8(ii); Canon 17mm-40mm f4L;Canon EF-S 10-18mm f4.5-5.6 IS STM;Canon EF-S 55-250mm f4-5.6 STM lens;Canon 24mm-105mmf4L IS;Canon 70-300mm f4-f5.6 L IS USM;Kenko 1.4x HD TC;Canon 430EX ii flash;Giottos tripod;Manfretto monopod;Cokin P filters + bits and pieces!
