I will start the list Santa brought me a nice pair of fingerless mittens with flip over covers ,a insulated hat ,and a stealth gear photography waistcoat with matching stealth gear photography trousers ,no more wet bums when I take a rest

I've had a pair of fingerless gloves/mitts for a couple of years, great for winter snapping.

I got a Hitech Firecrest 16 stopper. Now never being much of a fan of long exposure sea shots I'm going to have to be converted!

I got the complete guide to Black & White Digital Photography by Michael Freeman! I guess Santa must have got the wrong house it must have been meant for Tom in The USA.

No photographic gear this year as I already have most of what I want/need but I did get Hahnel Unipal Extra charger and power bank which as well as re charging a whole range of batteries, also is a power bank for phones, I pads etc.

Main pressie though from Mrs Christmas AKA Dee (and a lot of other things including the above) is a 3 day break in Birmingham in March to take in the Photography Show, a day in Birmingham to shoot Selfridges etc and a day at the Black Country Living Museum

might see you there stan ,we are going tom the photo show again in march ,do take a credit card theres lots of temptations .

to add to mine we have now got a 1/2 day birds of prey experience for two on a one to one basis ,as a partial present from one of the daughters

Santa just delivered a Sigma 70-200 F2.8 lens :-)
Think I need a set of weights to build up the arms to support it and the camera now though.

I struggled for tog things I wanted, it's all too expensive for others now. But my mummy bought me a tough case for SD and CF cards, which was nice

My Santa's gifts are all what Bacchus would be envious- that heavenly drink called as "Whisky"! I have anyway decided to stop this daily intake of such delight w.e.f 1st Jan as I am putting on weight & trousers/jeans are getting too tight for me- that is my bench mark for weight reduction.

Here's what santa brought to me.
A mini tripod and a trigger hahnel remote control.

Set up attached and working fine takes the weight of camera and lens no problem.

Santa didn't bring me any photo gear, so I decided to treat myself today .

Just ordered a Manfrotto Befree Travel Tripod. I have a Cullman 200T, but its not man enough for the 5D3 plus a big lens.

On "offer" at £139 from WEX and Jessops, but I have paid £113.64 from Amazon, with free delivery.

A saving of over £25, on the WEX and Jessops "special offer" price.

Santa didn't bring me any photographic gear, but acting as Santa, I gave my partner a Sony A7ii with a 24 -70 lens. She wanted something a bit lighter. I am very taken by it and also bought her a metabones adapter. I will be waiting for a 5Div! Meantime, fortunately Greeks believe in a second Christmas at New Year... I wait with baited breathe - although it gets more expensive!!!
