Taken from Kimmeridge Bay on dull afternoon, I was there to look at the amazing "Kimmeridge Ridges", but bad timing on the tides made that impossible. Couldn't leave without a memory though....

I like that Roger, it's nicely processed and full of feeling.

I can't help but wonder what it would have looked like with a ND filter though! The foreground looks just slightly soft too, though that may be down to the relatively small image size.

I like the line of clouds just above the horizon.
I also like the fact that the waves look like waves.
Agree about the processing.

Thanks guys... I much appreciate your feedback. SJP, the image is perfectly sharp, and overall I'm pleased with the performance of this kit lens. I reckon a lot of the deterioration of apparent sharpness and contraction of tones is down the filesize and uploading. No excuses for not using an ND though, I did have one with me, but when I do use one, I want more movement in the sea.

If you have an iPhone or ipad there is a great app called TidesPlan12 which allows you determine tide levels for any location at any date!

B&W conversion works well.

Not ventured there fro a couple of years but the occasions we did, always seemed to get the tides wrong as well
