    Bird House

It was a snowy winters day, so I put the EF 70-300mm f/3.5-5.0L IS USM onto the EOS-M and took this picture @ 300mm

    1/320 sec @ f/8.0, ISO 400

Nice shot. I still find it quite amazing that you can put telephoto's on a compact.

Though, if I stretch my memory enough, I remember interchangeable lenses for Leica's.

What a great B&W shot Tom. Like this seasonal shot a lot.

Glad you are enjoying your EOS M as so useful to be able to use with full functionality all of our collections of Canon EF lenses with it. Seen many less than complimentary reports about the M though which puts me off, as personally I prefer the spec and performance of the top of range Micro Four Thirds format for mirrorless portable cameras. Alas no good to be able to properly share my Canon lenses with the MFT cameras. Anyway as a primarily Canon man it is very good to see such encouraging results from your EOS M Tom.

        Re: Bird House

My, that's some snowfall and an interesting bird house - do any birds nest in it?

As half of me is Micro four-thirds (Olympus E-M5) I would tend towards a Pen as a pocketable camera but obviously the EOS-M is a viable option. I have used the EF 400mm f5.6L on the E-M5 with full manual functions and, even considering the extra EFL it gives (800 v 640mm), the results are startlingly sharp.

Yes, there is a wren that does nest in the bird house. What really makes it unique is that it was hand painted by all 3 of the grandchildren. It really has all of their hand prints on the bird house.

                      That's a great shot Tom.

Thankfully all the snow has gone from Luxembourg ..... For the time being

I agree that's another nice image, the Grandchildrens paint on the bird box makes it a bit special for you. (rather you keep the snow we are struggling with the rain at the moment)
