    Time to fly

    Just messing hoping to get a decent macro image but really need to invest in macro lens.

    An interesting image with lots of whispy details, one that is always going to be a challenge but a great concept.

    You are limited with your DOF which IMHO both helps and hinders this picture.

    Just a thought, if you have a tripod and if this was indoors you could try taking multiple images with the focal point moving through the dandelion seeds from front to back and then use one of the free photo stacking programs to give you a sharp image. I am using CombineZP which is very simple to use and gives pretty good results.

      I actually rather like this, the main part of the dandelion looks all fluffy and light and its only when you look at the seeds that are resting on top, ready to fly do you see how structured they are.
