I like the boats, personally I think it might be more interesting if it was cropped to just the boats.
The second one isn't horizontal, to my eyes anyway. An easy tweak in DPP would sort it. Seascapes always show this up because the horizon is such a well defined horizontal reference.TS-E17 F4L, 70-300L, 100 F2.8L Macro. http://www.flickr.com/photos/waynelsworth/ -

Thanks people. With photo number one I wanted the boats leading the eye into the harbour side. It was a beautiful day with hardly any cloud. Both photos are exactly as I took them, no editing. Just a polariser on my 500d. I agree with number 2 being slightly off center - was going for a typical holiday post card scene. ThankComment
