Out and about with New toy!!!

    Local watefalls 'Melin Falls'
Took my new camera out for a play around, not the best of days overcast and the area which I had not visited before was a bit lacking colour. It also seemed impossible to get a shot without some kind of over hanging tree brach in frame.WDYT
Also anyone kind enough to comment might notice a red mark near the centre of most shots, it appears to be a iron ore deposit in the rock, should I attempt to remove?

Above is a view close to the water, complete with water drop on lens, this was one of the better shots all of which had water drops, could they be removed?

Used 7D sigma 10-20mm mostly with a ND8 filter non grad

I like the 2nd one the most. Even the water on the lens almost adds to the sense of action.

I like the lead in to the photo on the first one with the red leaves on the green moss.

Very good, #2 for me too for the water.

I would be tempted to clone out the red mark, as now you've mentioned it, it does attract my eye.

          Nice shots, well done.

Nice series, but the 2nd image is the best.

No 2 for me, very nice.

No1 has potential. I think it might have looked good, if there were one single leaf as the main focal point, rather than a cluster of overlaid leaves?

I agree the second image is the keeper, just a shame about the splashes on your lens/filter.

I also like number2. I like the movement and also the general feel of the pic. Glynneath is not to far from me so I must get out more. Getting to be a fair weather snapper in me old age.

Second is a peach, the water drops don't distract at all.

Many thanks to you all for the encouraging remarks and helpful hints! I was most surprised to read that some thought the water drops are acceptable, I suppose with consideration it reminds that there is a person behind a camera.
Andy; I simply rested the camera on the boulder which was at least six ft high and took a chance and pressed the shutter, I might well go back and try your suggestion and Ill try and leave the tripod out of the picture next time(just noticed) Thanks
