    HDR Sunset, Strathblane, Glasgow

I was passing Loch Ardinning in Glasgow last night and luckily I had my camera with me.
I didn't have a tripod so had to think fast.

    *ding*!!
The 7D can rattle off images faster than I can move so I dialed in three stops of exposure bracketing and did a little trial and error. High speed continuous on any camera will take the required amount of images needed for the bracket.

I reckon it turned out ok for being handheld :)

I know it's not to everyones taste, however, I think people need to get the 'phase' out the way lol

I used DPP to correct CA, and distortion then saved back to RAW file.
I then opened the three images in Photomatix Pro. Used the defaults and exported as a TIFF.
        Opened it in LR4
Graduated filter from top to middle for less exposure and some blue.
Exported as TIFF, and opened in PS CS3

Did some dodging and burning of the grass, and some sharpening then that was it.

        :)

Beautiful light. Wish I could think that fast.

              That's neat
The camera works just fine, it's the idiot staring through the viewfinder that need's help!

I think it's a cracking shot and HDR how it should be.

Thanks Colin. I just wish I had a better tripod, or at least used one for this shot.

In hindsight, a better focal point would have been better. I literally ran over crouched down and took the pic.
