    Garnetts Mill

    Garnetts Mill, my home town.
I've photographed this many times, had a stroll down last night hoping for a fiery sunset (it wasn't to be) plus when I walked the dogs earlier in the day, I noticed there was water in the river from the previous rains, meaning the water was fully running over the weir rather than the usual summer trickle.
The Mill is now closed, and the mill area is being re-developed into houses/hotel. Thankfully some of the Mill buildings are listed therefore should retain some of it's character.

Both with Canon 1Ds MKIII 17-40 F4L lens

And an image from around 10 years ago (taken with a Canon 10D) when the Mill was a working Paper Mill.

Nice lighting Les, despite the elusive fiery sunset. This is another that I'll have to add to my 'must visit' list.

I used to work at Massingberds, the VW dealership, I'm fairly familiar with Otley but I haven't seen this view before.

Number three for me with the starburst. Who needs a sunset?
