    The Outcrop and the rain

These were taken yesterday evening on part of the Cleveland Way, just off the Raisdale road through Chop Gate.

It was a bit of comedy of errors really. Upon arrival I realised that I'd left my walking boots at home, once I was half way up the hill, it dawned on me that I'd left my water bottle in the car and when I'd got to the top and it started to rain, I also realised that I'd left the umbrella in the car!

Quite a lot of my shots were ruined with rain drops on the filter ... you live and learn!

      Very moody images Andy

I think the outcrop in the first is part of the Wainstones. Which also give their name to a pub in the village (Great Broughton) below them

Absolutely super! The pictures that is, not your memory.

Both are great, but #1 is my fave. Nice foreground interest, and a great BG too. Any with the sunshine poking through?

Kind of, but mostly rain spots and sun flare too.

A couple of hasty edits with the sun in view, please excuse the OTT vibrance in 'before the rain'.

Ha ha, I've just been talking about that with Jill. I don't think I'd have been able to hang on to it anyway.

Many a time during my Munro bagging days I wish I'd had an umbrella Andy

Lovely shots Andy. Really like number 2 with the approaching rain.

Very nice Andy, slightly prefer #1 but both good shots. I was over that way a few weeks ago but I was concentrating on the Carlton Bank area - a little disappointing though.
