    Who framed St Mary's Church

It was the Lych Gate that did it

Having posted the comparison image set using this church, I thought you may like to see a few more images from the same walk. I have for some time been meaning to try and make a decent image of this church which gets lit by the afternoon sun.

    #1 Through the Lych Gate Exif ISO 100, 5D3, 24-105 at 24mm, f16, 1/10 sec

    #2 Through the window, Exif ISO100, f5, 1/500sec

    #3 Gated Doorway, Exif ISO 100, f4.5, 1/250 sec

All of the above have had minimal PP carried out; resize, border & © added plus a smidgen of smart sharpen. Had it been a full PP I may have removed the dunces helmet from image 3 and sorted out the verticals on image 1

Nice set Peter, but I do like how you weed the shadow and the archway to frame and direct the viewer to the church. +

Thanks Tom, if you look closely on the left shadow you may be able to make out the shadow of Mrs S who was standing on a stile. The stile is there for a footpath which passes through the church yard to the fields beyond it.

Now that you pointed it out Peter, I can now see her in the shadows.

Great set Peter. #1 is great but I do love the execution of #2,

Like them all but particularly the framed one but that would look even better with the verticals corrected

Excelllent set Peter. I like the first image very much as it has a nice lead in to the church.

Peter, really nice set #1 is my favourite, but I have to admit that straightening that lot would be beyond my skills. And well done on avoiding your own shadow appearing, even if Mrs S was not so compliant. It is a slight shame that they built a horrid brick thing (vicarage?) right next to it plus a fairly unsympathetic extension, but there's not a lot you could do with them.

Edit: I somehow missed your follow up post. Good job on straightening, and I see you had removed your shadow first time. Good job then as I never noticed, despite looking.

Thanks for all your comments, much appreciated . @ Alex I cannot tell a lie...the straightening is very easy in LR 5 it is part of the lens correction tool, I too would have problems fixing them in PS 😊 The brick building is a farm the vicarage is to the left of the church and is much nicer looking. Though its no longer used as vicarage I think it was last used as a fitness centre.
