Thanks Bill. When I was shooting the first one I was wishing I had a big stopper filter or a variable filter. Maybe next time

                Great images Paul.
When I was shooting the first one I was wishing I had a big stopper filter
My thoughts when I visited Pembrokeshire earlier this week, also wished I had a polariser filter too.

I had a circular polariser fitted for all these so I was half way there

A big stopper would be a nice experiment but rather expensive. I bought a cheap ND8 filter from Amazon but only gives about 2 stops so not much use really, I have a Cokin Grad ND which is quite useful though. I have been thinking about using a welding filter as mentioned on another forum, for about £1 or so it may be worth a try.

I'm doing a some photos for a friend at work at the end of June and in return he is buying me a Variable ND filter so should be good. I bought a cheap set of Graduated filters of Amazon (I went of the reviews) the problem is that the darker ones give a strong purple tinge to the sky so I don't think they will get much use will have to save up for a lee or cokin setup

                            Re: Bridlington today

The first two images work for me, good lines and patterns. I like the detail in the images.
As you say, it would have interesting to see how they looked with ND filters.

The last two don't work as well for me, the lines and area of focus/interest are not as clear for me.
Thats maybe being a bit harsh though.
                            Andy
