    Straw Bales

    Had a brief stop at a stubble field this evening as the farmer had just finished the baling. Skies were a bit to clear but I hope to get back there when there is more interest in the sky.

    0.3 secs at f/13, iso100. 6d & 17-40L at 17mm

      Nice one mate,I've been trying to find bales around here but they are all wrapped up in plastic, not very photogenic

        I do like this,Tom.
        You have got both the colours and the diagonal stripes of field and sky marrying up together. Very nice.

          Tom, lovely composition and lovely colours (and tbh there's enough interest in the sky for me).
          Only thing I'm not sure about is the maroon/green banding on the bales, which I'm guessing is some form of chromatic aberration caused by the clear plastic? Personally I'd remove that.

            I like this shot. I think that the maroon/green banding is actually the colour of the netting used to wrap the bales

                Yes the maroon/green on the bales is the colour of the netting unfortunately!

                    I actually got up early this morning to look for bales on my way in but the only ones I could see had a farmer in the field!!
