    Castlerigg Dawn

A well shot place but one I've not managed to bag with any sense of satisfaction until last Monday. I've a few from this trip and this is a 4 image pano from a 20 shot sequence. 5D3 + 70-200L @ 70mm ISO 100 70mm f/11 +/- 2ev. WDYT?.

Like the soft pastel colors and the composition in this image. Not to fond of the large black border.

I agree with the guys above, photo very nice border awful

I do think its such a shame you put these heavy borders on your photos as it really does spoil them

Super pastel colours and composition.....but ohh, yet again that border spoils it, much too big and in your face really taking attention away from the superb scene

ps - I really think you should consider posting without the border - 4 responses all saying the same

            Hi Lee,
What a superb image. I have seen many shots of this stone circle but few capture the magic and mystery of these ancient stones - this you have done in spoonfuls. This is not easy to do ( I have been there my self many times) . The mist, the delicate colour palette and the letter box format all work well to draw the viewers eye into the picture. I feel this is worthy of a really large print - it would hang well in any gallery.
            Well done.

              Lovely shot
I Think the border gives a good impression of what the image would look like framed, so it doesn't bother me too much. Also some great shots on your flickr site

Great image, border doesn't add anything for me either.

Definitely worth putting on the wall.

Cracking shot Leo. The image itself is fantastic and I agree with Paul that it does give a pretty good indication of what it would look like with a simple frame.
