    Wrawby Postmill, Lincolnshire

    Hi All,

I recently found a Mill in Lincolnshire I didn't know existed, is is a Post Mill whatever that is or was.

Would be interested to hear who thinks B&W suits it better than colour.

what a great find Paul ....

I prefer the B&W over colour and the stand out shot is the 4th one - nice although all nice images

Thanks Guys, I also prefer the B&W, I think the subject suits it too.

Dave, in regard to the sky, it is Blown you are right, although I shot at the Sun peeping through deliberately, I used a 2 stop Filter but it didn't come out exactly as I hoping for, I wanted a few more shafts of sunlight. then I moved round a bit to put the Sun behind one of the Sails.

I might go again in the Evening light soon

Great find, Paul, and definitely one of those places worth going back to and trying different things. For me, compositionally no 4 is by far the strongest, with the added bonus of great clouds. In the slightly harsh lighting conditions, I think the monos work better than the colours, but this might be different at dawn or dusk.

I find image #4 the strongest as it sits nicely in the frame.
