in camera HDR ? you seem to have a glow around the trees

I like the shot but needs a bit of a tweaking

I see what Ian means. Its also a pity the tree was clipped, wonder if you could create some blue sky above it or do some pruning? Its a nice composition though as the timber groynes lead you to the waters edge which then takes you into the image.

one of things I've found is the in camera HDR does crop the image during the processing - its quite possible the Raw files have the top of the tree

          Re: Lepe Beach

          Cheers guys

It is in camera HDR and with the plain blue sky, I think the blending of 0, +1, -1 has resulted in the glow. Also as Ian says, in processing, rather like when you straighten verticals, the edges of the image are lost. I have looked at processing the three raw images with Photomatix and got a similar glow round the trees

So I have taken the standard raw file and processed as a standard image with this result

As for Ian and Dave, I prefer the single image.

Yes I need to be careful as not all the images need the HDR treatment either in camera or processed with TP software and this one is a prime example - the colours from processing just a single shot in the usual way are no different to the HDR processing

Guess I knew you wouldn't have cut them off taking it! Agree the 2nd shot works better.

Yes like the others the shot is the second one. Given the good light and not wild range, did it need HDR Stan?

as I said in this case it didn't but probably still a good idea to shoot for HDR then if needed you have the 3 exposures to play with

I'm the same, with cards being so cheap bracket the shot and choose which exposure you want to work with
