Lovely reflections. Personally I prefer the first photograph as there is sort of a lead-line along the boats. The second one, as Tigger suggests, is a bit of a jumble in that there isn't 'one' thing to catch my eye and focus upon. Perhaps for that shot being further back would help, so that you capture the whole view of the boats in their surroundings. I too try to improve with every picture I take. Thanks for sharing.

I like No 1 best.....i'd just suggest that if the reflections are the objective of the image that you crop the sky a bit lower so that its equal to the sky's reflection in the canal - I think that strengthens the image...If you scroll this thread up until the image is cropped at the top of the screen you'll see what I mean....just a suggestion?

I know the place very well and you captured it nicely. The first as others have said it really good, lovely warm tones.
