It's a nice image, however IMO, it would be a stronger composition if the pier was evenly composed so that the ends of the pier met the bottom corners on both side of the image.

Well Tom, this was my first time picking up the camera for a long time and went out with my 'tutor' Parsen66, so technically it his fault if there is anything wrong!!! (I have permission to say this!), but I appreciate what you mean.

The crop doesn't work for me either as you lose the lead in from the pier. What I suggested was from a composition stand point as you frame the picture in the camera.
