And even more pano stitches from St. Ives

Well, you did say you weren't bored so only have yourselves to blame

Three portrait image stitch of Porthminster Beach and the railway station. The main reason for going to St. Ives was to have a meal at the Porthminster Beach Cafe which is most certainly NOT an ordinary 'beach cafe' but fine dining (with prices to match). We weren't disappointed.

As usual, best viewed on Flickr, etc.

    Cheers,
    John

like the first two John but with the third might be better without the breakwater in the middle

Thanks Stan A valid and appreciated comment and I can see what you mean but it does, at least, fill what would otherwise be a large slab of empty water. In my mind I thought it added a good element but now not so sure. Hmm!

      Cheers,
      John

Probably be better with all the breakwater in the frame rather than chopped off and a touch incidental - trouble then is I suspect you'd have to much of the promenade in shot...

Like the first one best John mainly because I can recognise that train station.

Nice set John, I prefer the second image it has a more natural perspective

Never been a great fan of photographs of car parks... The second is my clear favourite of these three. Beautifully executed. I think the third you have to be careful how much distortion you incorporate in a pano shot. Looks a bit like it was done on a smartphone... Sorry...

But to confirm - I think no 2 is great!!!

Yes, including any foreground in a pano stitch will always result in distortions although sometimes this can aid the composition by providing framing. Sometimes it just looks weird

I quite like the first shot has good lines to lead you in; though i have just noticed a man cut in half near the white car (taxi rank).sorry about that!

Disappearing into a different time warp perhaps! I hate it when that happens...

Pixel peeper! I'd thought about cloning him out but didn't expect anyone to look that closely, Really, though, I think you may have found platform 9 3/4
