    Cornwall, Take 2!

    Hi Everyone

After the mist and overcast weather cleared from my previous post, the sun came out!
    Well....... most of the time.

    Re: Cornwall, Take 2!

    very nice photos Dave.
1/. I like the way you have caught the spray and the seagul, lots to look at and I think the b&w enhances the scene
2/. another really interesting shot, I like the textures in the rocks and think the sepia finish works well too.
3/. was this posed? either way, it is very nice indeed
4/. lovely tranquil feel to it, nice exposure, not too much saturation, really nice shot.

hoping to get down to cornwall next month myself, if mine come out half as good, i will be very pleased!

The 17-40 is working well on the 550D

Very nice set of images Dave. That 17-40mm was a good choice

Looks like you had a great time in Cornwall
I've never been there myself but it looks good.

#1 nice shot but the waves seem a bit blown unfortunately. Its not an easy shot to take with the bright water and dark darks in the same image
#2 nice and sharp and nicely toned.
            #3 well seen and captured.
#4 well exposed but the horizon is wonky - sloping to the right. Something to watch for when shooting seascapes or landscapes

              Hi Sam

              Thanks for your comments.
I didn't take note of the wonky horizon until you pointed it out.
              Makes complete sense.

Thanks for everyone's comments and yes John, i'm loving the 17-40L!
