    Time and tide x 2

A hectic weekend so only just started processing images... well you've seen the breakwaters and the new defences... well how about the results if theres nothing there... you know the saying "Time and Tide" wait no man... well they certainly don't wait or give him time to put sea defences up....

Taken with the 500D and the 55-250mm is lens... and I think I remember the polarising lens this time, but can't choose between black and white and colour... its one of those one minutes I like this one... next minute I like that one...

There will be times when you will be in the field without a camera. And, you will see the most glorious sunset or the most beautiful scene that you have ever witnessed. Don't be bitter because you can't record it. Sit down, drink it in, and enjoy it for what it is!

I like the colour one. Looks like a sunny day.

Thanks all... still flipping between colour of black and white personally... ain't it a good thing I'm not in a shop choosing which to buy..

Mazzie - It was a scorching hot day and very bright on the eyes.

          Thanks for looking.

It's the B&W for me - I would ask myself the question "What does colour add to this picture?" - in my view nothing, it's about shapes and textures, light and shade so it has to be B&W

              Di,

              You may know this but...

If you have Photoshop don't just convert to B&W, try using the channel mixer, click mono and then play with the channels. It's very interesting the affects you could get. I notice that there is a small bit of detail in the sky in the colour version - using the channel mixer you could bring this out...

Just my thoughts - hope this helps

I see what you mean, in the black and white, no clouds. But no photoshop, have Gnu and Infraview, will have a look and see if there is anything like it in either of them. Thanks for that.
