Took a trip down to St Monans (Fife fishing village) to check out the best place to set up for sun rise shots (at a later date).

Both good Gary but the second composition is the best in my opinion.
That's an unusual structural design, I'm sure there must be a reason for it to have been built in that way, maybe the person who funded the build of the pier was a photographer
