The Enchanted Castle

We went to Crathes Castle an NTS property in Aberdeenshire, on Saturday night for The Enchanted Castle light show.
The castle was lit up with a kinda slide show.
I tried shooting at a low ISO but with the longer shutter speeds all the colours merged into one.
I upped the ISO to 3200 to hopefully freeze the "action"
It was cancelled last year due to heavy snow.
It was a balmy 15 degrees on Saturday!!
All taken with my 5D2 and 24-105L

Really cool lighting and colors. Also loved the way you captured the person making circles with the light. Very neat effect.

What a great night. Nice pictures from a difficult occasion. The 5D2 did a cracking Job also the person holding it.

Really unusual event and some good images taken in difficult circumstances, well done for the trial and error methods to secure your shots , although looking at some of the images posted on the forum over the past few months the 5d 11 handlles high ISO superbly well.

thats well sussed. We stayed at Gloucester Quays over the weekend before last and I tried to get some shots of some large windows above a shopping centre which had continually changing coloured lights - shots were just a mess of colour - wish i had thought of upping the ISo
