    I studied a lot of Mapplethorpe's work for City & Guilds.....

    I would say, yes... VERY good.

    I prefer #2.

    I assume you'll be trying some of his more, er, "challenging" work next? Can't wait to see that! ;)

      Thank's mate, but i will struggle doing the Andy Warhol shot, or do you mean the one with the mans head between the womans legs

        Both IMO are very lovely shots. Nicely done.

                    Ha ha. Take a look his book, "Altars"..... Some VERY challenging work, but also some outstanding monochrome portraits.

                        Just been and looked at some of his photos - google is a marvelous thing - If I had to choose I would go with number two, but that is just personal choice. I like the lighting.

                              I like his use of lighting, especially on the statue shots, how he plays with the shadows as much as the subject. - Hope that makes sense.
