Its not often you get to walk around a real battlefield, but I heard about this town so made sure we visited..
Its Belchite, in 1937, loyalist Spanish Republican and rebel General Franco's forces in the Spanish Civil War fought the Battle of Belchite in and around the town. After the war Franko wanted the village left as a memorial to the war and a new village was built next it and its basically just how it was after the war..
Very spooky walking around and some of the houses still have things inside but its falling down and you have to watch where you stand and hard hats are given to anyone that wants to go inside..
Also any film fans the film The Adventures of Baron Munchausen was mostly filmed there
