    Llangollen Canal … at Llangollen

LlangCanal2_4522 by Stephen Thompson, on Flickr

I was intrigued by the difference in styles of architecture separated by this narrow stretch of water.

When is a canal not a canal?
When it's pretending to be a moat!

    Castles in the air?

Very nice. I like it as it is quite natural with regard to the time of day, the sky etc. Exactly how you saw it.

It's a nice composition and a very pleasant scene but the histogram suggests it's at least a half stop under exposed.

Using a levels layer coupled with a curves layer the foreground exposure comes up better. I also used a levels layer set to multiply at reduced opacity to add a little extra to the clouds. I also warmed the foreground up with a pale orange layer set to Overlay and reduced to about 5% opacity.

Sadly the forum has bombed out the sharpness as usual.
