    Macro tent ?

I have acquired a Macro tent with lights and various coloured backgrounds, anyone use this sort of equipment ? And any tricks of the trade worth trying ?

The word photography derives from the Greek φωτός (phōtos), genitive of φῶς (phōs), "light" and γραφή (graphé)

Don't try to get in it at bedtime. You won't fit !

Depends on what you want to use it for.

I use mine for photographing my wood turnings and find that the grey background with one light and a reflector on the other side work well for me. This allows some shadow to give a 3D look that I am trying to achieve. Use a tripod and make sure you use a suitable aperture to get a good depth of field.

I use a similar set up but for still life or flowers etc. and frequently stack a number of images rather than try and use a very small apature if I am after the subject to provide a full front to back sharp image. I always use a tripod and frequently have the camera teathered to a laptop where I control the cameras apature, shutter speed, F stop and focus via the live view function in the EOS Utility. Depending on the subject I may use one or more light sources.
