    Spider with 40D

Both Dee and I started off with 400D's upgrading to our present 7D's via a 40D and 50D. We kept both the 400's as back ups but they very rarely got used so last week we decided to trade them both in and get a 40D as a single back up. I had forgotten what a good camera it was - took it with me to Crockford on Monday to test it with the tamron 90 macro. This is just a shot of a common cross spider but it needed very little processing - had it been a 50D even at ISO 400 the shot would have needed a couple of rounds of NR

Look like I found another kakis who likes spiders. good shot stan. It quite challenging to shoot spider with web hanging with background facing the sky. This is worst if you need to use tripod as some web are higher than you.

as you can se the camera did a good job with very little processing. It was at the top of some bushes so shot from low down to get the background. Hand held, no tripod

Very nice image...has it got a leg missing?

There will be times when you will be in the field without a camera. And, you will see the most glorious sunset or the most beautiful scene that you have ever witnessed. Don't be bitter because you can't record it. Sit down, drink it in, and enjoy it for what it is!

Viva the 40D and the razor sharp tamron 90mm and more importantly well done to you for seeing and taking.

Now that Codachrome mentions the legs, I noticed the web is tattered a bit maybe there was a fight.
