Excellent shot, Composition, Colour, Sharpness all spot on to me and I really like the way the light falls away off the log to highlight just the right part of it for the shot, great background too.

Lovely comp. and colours. I would add a little more contrast and another round of sharpening in PP.

Ants, I suspect that it is the download from Flickr which has reduced the sharpening slightly. I no longer use the sharpening function as I use High Pass instead these days, I find it gives me greater control over what is sharpened and the intensity of the sharpening without the introduction of oversharpening "gotchas"
