    Common Lizard

    Spotted this one on a post at WWT Barnes today but with a lot of "grass" in front making a shot impossible - so i proceeded to pull the "grass" out of the way and realised too late there were a few nettles in amongst it - the stinging all over my arms was a constant reminder for the rest of the day

    Great image Stan and he has posed well for you. Did he just sit there while you did your "gardening"?

              Hi Stan;

              Well done; well worth the pain & suffering... I've still to get a decent lizard shot at Barnes...

              Cheers;

                there seem to have been far fewer of them visible this year - last year we found them basking on almost very one of the bridges
