Common Lizard

Towards the end of our Badbury Rings explore last week I spotted a common lizard basking on a fallen log. I got a couple of shots but by the time Dee was ready to shoot he disappeared. We decided to hang around to see if he came back out and after a few minutes, not only he but a couple of others appeared as well

First shot is with 300f4 and 1.4x and the second 100 f2.8 macro

love the way the guy is looking over at you in the first Stan - I presume he's thinking, "yeah thats Stan, fame at last"

not so much with the first as I already had my 300 f4 and 1.4x on the camera and Dee had her macro which for this shot she wouldn't have been able to get close enough and by the time she had changed he had gone, although as I say we waited around and he along with others came back out
