    Banded Mongoose

Sitting in the hide at Zimanga, SA waiting for something to happen when suddenly a group of banded mongoose appeared over the edge and began to drink. They were quite nervous and didn't stay long. It was about 30 seconds of frantic photography.

There's always one who hangs around at the end!

EOS 1DX, 300mm f2.8 L IS II lens, 1.4 III converter, tripod mounted.

    Thanks for lokking.

Thanks Steve. They were very nervous and only there for about 30 seconds. Would never had got these shots had we not been in a hide.
