    Red Deer in Monochrome

Went to Richmond Park on Monday in sunny weather. When I found this red deer a black cloud decided to park itself across the sun. The cloud didn't look like moving anytime soon so decided to convert this image to black and white.

EOS 1DX with 100-400mmf/4.5-5.6L IS II lens.

    Thanks for looking.

Very nice, Brian, really stands out and I think the mono treatment really shows the power of the beast.

Not too sure generally about Animals in Mono although I have tried it on occasions, having said that I think this works because of the pale and rather tired vegetation, giving you more contrast between that and the animal
