    Pine Martin

    Got a close up of the Martin with the bad fur on its back as it came in daylight, I think it either has mange or is just losing its winter coat as more patches are on it.

    Nice capture David. Almost certain that’s not Mange, more than likely as you say winter moult or it could well be battle scars, although mating does not take place until late summer, with delayed implantation in January. If it’s a female then she could well have young who are born March/April
