    Kingfisher male

    Had five minutes with this male kingfisher in front of me, though the distance was pushing my gear a bit,
    Canon 7D 100/400 lens @f8 on aperture priority. Taken from a public hide at Stodmarsh near Canterbury, Kent

        veery rare to see them very close as i have found until recently. Presented in the fashion you have it is a bit difficult to comment - far better to post individual shots at 800 px on the longest side. Having said that from what i can see they are good - much better than my first ones but you have some strange artifacts arounf the top of the head, especially the middle one

          These look very nice although a little small. I would clone out the blade of grass in #1 & 2.
          I have never captured a kingfisher so well done.

              never find one when i go looking for them !!!! good stuff
              5DMKII 24-105mm, 100-400 ISUSM - plus lots of bits that I am not sure I need or can afford
