    Gulls flying in different modes...

Sometimes they seem to hunch up and look like they are flying stealth...

    Exposure 0.001 sec (1/1250)

    ISO Speed 800

Sometimes they look like the bird that's caught the prize:

Great shots, I really like how they seem to stand out from the backgrounds, as Tom said, they are very sharp indeed, Number 2 is a brilliant catch.

I am not too keen on the first one with the wing half covering the head but I do like the second

            Thanks guys!

I know what you mean Stan, I just quite liked the hunched back. It reminded me of a stealth aircraft!

Number 2 works well for me.

I go with #2 as well. Excellent IQ.

Love the first image, lovely clean background (always good for any bird photo) maybe brighten the area around the face in PP.

Thanks Colin, Dave and Stephen. And thank you Ants for liking no 1! I will have a go as you suggest. My Photoshop is out of action right now, but I ought to be able to achieve the same in LR.

                      Best

Hi Richard, for sure you will. It might even be a little easier. My LR is not quite the same as my PS but if I remember properly you will use a adjustment brush and in this case probably go for exposure. I always like to do little bits at a time when processing, rather under-do than over-do. I will check on my LR if I am correct, maybe it's time to jack up on my LR ;)
