                  I've been trying to get a kingfisher for some time now and I'd be really interested in the background story as to how you got this one - for example, how long did you have to wait, did you have to go back several times, were you in a hide and how far away, and so on.

                      Wonderful photograph.
                      I've had the fortune/misfortune to have one in my hand after I got it from the mouth of a cat. Beautiful bird but it didn't survive. I was quite upset after.
