    Breaking surface

Here are a couple more shots while trying to capture the moment the Tufted Ducks broke through the surface. The problem was judging when to hit the shutter button but i think that even 8fps is not quite quick enough, might need to move up to a 1DX (can't see that getting past the boss).

              Re: Breaking surface

The other week at Barnes WWT, there being very little else on the lake at the time, we decided to try and capture the tufted ducks diving but failed totally. Two nice shots

Thanks everybody for looking and for your comments. Will try again hopefully with just his head breaking the surface.

Maybe I don't need a 1DX at the moment, missed this the other day but it looks likes he's got a goldfish bowl on hid head - could that be the secret of them staying under water so long !!
