    Swallow

Summer is here although going by the weather you wouldn't think so.
I sat for ages trying to capture a Swallow in flight.
    Harder than you might think.
I had tons of pics for the recycle bin.

This is one which I was happy to keep.
My first Swallow in flight shot.

Taken with Canon 7D and 70-300mm f4-5.6 is usm

    1/4000@f5.6 ISO 800

This one was 1/3000 sec due to the camera set on AV and the light changing.

Always feels like summer when these guys come back. 1st image is excellent, I know from personal experience these are very difficult to capture.

I like the first one. Your shot shows how beautiful their tail is. Where were you sitting to get the capture?

Lovely, dammit. I have just spent an entire afternoon trying to capture these and failing miserably.

          Well done!

Thanks all for looking and commenting, I was sitting in the Folly Pond hide at Caerlaverock WWT.
I have still to sift through the sand martins to see if there are any keepers.
