          As presented, second is the shot. However, I think number four has some merit and would benefit from a little post capture attention.

          My suggestions are:

          Crop a little off the right to leave the Heron on the third.
          Crop a little off the bottom - just the still water area.
          Remove/clone out the diagonal branches on the left.

            Jimmy, nice set. Just to be different from the others, I actually prefer #1, though I'd like to see #4 with Colin's suggested edits.

                Only heron I've seen was sat on the shed top eyeing my pond. Wouldn't mind seeing one -away- from my pond.

                  Here you go. They're not perfect, but it gives you a rough idea.

                  I think this is what Colin means.

                  Already deleted off my computer I can take them off here if you wish.
