    Hawlands at Farming World Kent

Our camera club organised an outing to Hawklands at Farming World in Kent where we had the birds flown for us, at times they were up close and personal and at other times they were fast moving and challenging to capture.

All taken with 5D3 and 70-300L

That's a great set as birds in flight are rather difficult.

The Male Barn Owl is well captured and a classic Tawny Eagle shot. You also did very well with the (Lanner Falcon?) strike, that takes split second timing.

The lanner is spot on Ian but the eagle owl and barn owl took a tad soft

I like the tawny eagle, but if you have it, it needs a bit of room on the left to fly into

Thanks guys it was a great day out and if you get the chance worth a visit or arranging a photo day as we did.

Colin you are correct it was a Lanner falcon but the shot was as much luck as good timing, but I will keep the lucky shots as well.

Stan I think it is the upload that has made the owls look a little soft as I didn't over sharpen them for the upload, as for more space on the eagle owl shot that is full frame. The eagle owl is only just over 12 weeks old and this was one of his first public displays.

That first image gave me such a fright when it loaded. I never knew they were that size given the perspective in the image.

I'd love to get out to shoot this stuff, but life tends to get in the way these days.
