    Wild Osprey

Couldn't believe my luck when I came across this beauty
He was quickly chased off by crows and a blue-faced honeyeater but apparently he's a regular at this small reserve so I hope to have some more soon.

It must have been great to have seen this fabulous bird in the wild and getting some lovely images as well.

Great shots Andy, I wouldn't fancy being grabbed by those talons though!

                    Re: Wild Osprey

Than you everyone, I certainly acknowledge that I'm a lucky man, not least because I'm lucky enough to live in such a beautiful country. What I really want, though, is a picture of it catching a fish, or at least eating one...

I'm away for a couple of weeks but I'll certainly be returning to this little reserve - no more than 1km x 500m, hogging the banks of a small stream (sorry, creek) and best of all, just 30 minutes from the centre of town. I've been returning frequently because there are 2 kingfisher species that live there but while hunting them I keep stumbling across other treats, like this osprey.
