    Cormorant catches Pike!

    Hi all

At Barnes WWT today I caught this interesting sequence, which I am sharing here for general interest, rather than photographic excellence! The sun was right behind, mid afternoon, thus causing the slightly weird colour effect!

    All with 7D, and 70-300 L, @300mm, 1/1600, f8, iso800

Thanks Peter and Bill for commenting.

No, no chips needed! Couldn't believe my luck when he caught it right in front of the hide I was in! Shame he swam quite far away to eat it, I was at 300mm, and these are cropped quite a bit too!

        Cheers, Mike.

I would never have believed it could swallow a Pike of that size. Nicely captured Mike.

Many thanks Dave, Colin, Tom, Wayne, Russell, Nat, Dolina, Alex and Doug for viewing and leaving a comment.

TBH, no-one in the hide thought he'd get that fish down, but watching him throw it around and swallow it whole was quite something!

                            Cheers all, Mike.
