    Crested Pigeon

    Found this beauty on Nudgee Beach (15 mins from Brisbane City) today

    Hope you like him too

    5D3 x 400 + 600EXRT @ 1/1000 x f8

    Its a bit warmer than the UK :-)

        Where's the bird's sunglasses... it looks nice and warm there just like here in Lancashire !!! ..(not)

              Ha ha, no sunglasses but as is almost always the case, it was another lovely day in Queensland and what a pretty bird.Apparently very common but this chance shot was a first for me, as I was waiting for a swallow to return to its adjacent perch.

                  Thanks Richard - as common as it apparently is here, I'd never seen one and when it flew into my field of vision I couldn't believe my luck at seeing such a lovely bird and being ready for it at the same time
