    Moorhen

    Nothing particularly spectacular about a Moorhen; but I liked the reflection and the patterning on the water...

    Actually Lee I think we often dismiss some of the more common species.

    If we took time to take a longer look we'd see some of the colours that show up in this really nice image. I agree the reflections are very nice.

      Good colours and reflections but a bit central and tight in the frame - better with some canvas to swim into

          Hi Stan;

          How about this then?



          It's always a toughie (for me anyway) when deciding how to crop. I usually like to place something on 'the thirds' and give room for the bird/animal to move into the image... however... on a recent judging, all my images were slated because the judge didn't like the 'empty space' and wanted tight crops!!!!! But what do judges know... pah...
