    Long Tailed Tit

    With the improving weather, done a lot of shooting over the past week. This one from Warnham on Thursday

    Lovely image of a bird I have yet to see.
    Its still too grey in Dumfries and Galloway for any photography.

      Excellent shot Stan. If you can get them to stay still for any longer than 1 second you're in with a shot.

          If you can get them to stay still for any longer than 1 second you're in with a shot
          I never used to have much luck with these until quite recently and mainly at Warnham

          This one was looking on the ground for seeds dropped from the feeders

                Both great shots. Lots in the area where I live. Like a lot of other small species they seem to have benefited from the rather mild winter we've had, so far!

                    Like a lot of other small species they seem to have benefited from the rather mild winter we've had, so far!
                    although the downside is that generally I have found fewer spreies at the reserve feeders this year than last when it was much colder but as you say the LTT's seem to have benefited especially at this location.
