    Cormorant Flight

    As I was shooting the oystercatcher waiting for the ferry on Brownsea, dee got a burst of 3 shots as this cormorant flew overhead. Almost full frame 1/2000, f 5.6, ISO 200, 420mm

      A nice series. The last one is best for me, the details in the wings are shown to their best advantage
      EOS 7D mk II, Sigma 150-660C, Canon 17-85 EF-S, Tamron 10-24 and a wife who shares my obsession.

        One of the most difficult shots to expose for - black bird against a bright sky - with the first two the wing position is too much in the shadow to get the detail but with the third it is in just the right place for the light to catch
