    NZ Birds Part two

Well I finally managed to find some time to edit a few more bird images from our trip to New Zealand.

As I said in NZ part one; BIF or even BSS (Birds Standing Still) images are a bit of a dark art to me. I don't go out with the intention of capturing images of birds but if the opportunity comes along then I'll have a go. Can't give you any names for theses other than gulls of various types. Anyway lets hear what you think about this set.

#1 a gull on New Brighton Pier
    Exif ISO 100, 105mmf7.1, 1/1000sec

#2 Two gulls on New Brighton Pier
    Exif as #1 above

#3 A Hawk feeding on a roof (Government Gardens Rotorua)
    Exif ISO100, 280mm, f7.1, 1/25sec (operator error )

#4 The same hawk in a tree (Government Gardens Rotorua)
    Exif ISO100, 280mm, f6.3, 1/800sec

#5 Gull on a mooring bollard (Auckland Marina)
    Exif ISO100, 105mm, f6.3, 1/800sec

I've managed to identify the gull at #4, it's a Red Billed Gull (aka Silver Gull). The large gull at #1 is a Black Backed Gull (aka Kelp Gull).
I thought I took a photo of a sign that identified the Hawks which were part of a re-introduction scheme. The young from this scheme are being fed by wardens to encourage them to stick around
